SOME  of us do not bet on the river card if it helps our hand lots.  Reason being I guess out of politeness or fear of being called river river.   Most I think just to be nice.   Soooo my question is  are we stupid or what.   Your opinion may help me and others change their way of play.  indecisionindecisionenlightenedyes

The correct answer if you know the river gives you the winning hand is to make the largest bet you believe others will call. The idea is to not only win but to win the biggest pot you can get.

I was not aware of that. I bet on anything  that will bear the load. I try not to be rude but not to bet had'nt occured to me. Is this some sort of table manners that I have missed ?? Did most of my playing at sea and nobody really knew about this polite thing. Certainly not on collection day !!!   Two nice Questions Yummster!!!
