A central figure in the Gunpowder Plot of 1605 to blow up Pariliment. Though he was ' drawn ' by horse on a wooden rack to the yard ay Westminster & watched fellow conspirators hanged ( to near the point of death as was the custom because they wanted the convicted to be alive for the next excruitiateing steps ), emasculated , disembowelled & then beheaded & quartered. When his turn came he climbed the ladder & either fell off or jumped from the ladder & the noose broke his neck.
